Types of Treatments
Liquid Pre-treat:
RIA will chemically treat the soil before the slab or basement is poured. As
soon as the treatment is complete, the builder is responsible for covering the
area with plastic. The chemical RIA uses is Masterline Bifenthrin. This is
manufactured by Univar, the top chemical company for pest control companies.
If plastic has been installed or the slab has been poured, this treatment
cannot be done. This type of treatment comes with a 6-year guarantee as long
as the homeowner renews annually.
Borate Treatment:
RIA will chemically treat the home during the framing stage of the house. Once
the house is framed and the roof is completed, RIA will spray all exterior
walls and all interior studs up to 24 inches. The chemical used is Boracare.
It is mixed with blue dye so that builders and the Department of Agriculture
know that the treatment has been completed. If any insulation or drywall has
been installed, this treatment cannot be done. This type of treatment comes
with a 6-year guarantee as long as the customer renews annually.
Bait Treatment:
RIA provides bait treatments which may be easiest for the builder. This type
of treatment is done when all phases of construction have been completed
(including landscaping). When the house is under contract, notify RIA and we
will send a technician out to install a bait system on the home. RIA uses the
Advance Bait System. It is a proven colony
elimination system. With the installation, the customer receives four bait
checks on the house before the renewal comes due. This has a lifetime
guarantee as long as the customer pays the annual renewal fee.
WDO Clearance Letters
RIA will provide free WDO clearance letters for closing at no additional
charge with a treatment. We guarantee a faxed copy and an original copy in
the mail within 24 hours.
Subdivision Specials
If RIA completes the pre-treatments on all homes in a subdivision, we will
offer your future homeowners with a pest control service unmatched by our
competitors. RIA will guarantee quarterly pest control service for your
homeowners for $50 per quarter, with a price guarantee of 2 years. This will
save your homeowners at least $150 over the length of the agreement. You can
pass our reputation and our guarantee on to your clients.
